Wedding Season

Don't you just love receiving wedding invitations in the post?  I get so excited for the occasion and for being able to head out to the shops and buy a beautiful, loving gift for the couple and today was one of those days!  I opened up my letter box and gorgeous sparkling envelope was awaiting me!  A dear friend from high school is getting married later this year and instead of having a gift registry they are having a wishing well at the reception for gifts to be given.  I've never had to gift a wishing well before and not quite sure what the etiquette is for such occasions.  Can anyone help?

Pop Up: Empirical Style

Desire to Inspire posted about Empirical Style over the weekend and I have looked at their site before and drooled over their fabulous vintage school maps and botanical prints, itching for the day when I can find a place for some.  Now instead of being an online business they've opened a pop up show in Armadale, Melbourne.  I am going to have to get down there one day soon!  To promote their new venture Steve and Helena made a short video on the evolution of their pop up space and I am totally keen to try out the painters tape idea they used in both rooms.  Check out the video and see what you think.

Melbourne, The Most Liveable City in the World

Yep, Melbourne won the World's Most Liveable City for the second year in a row!  Even though I miss London terribly everyday (they placed 55th) I am beginning to appreciate Melbourne more and more.  Most of my Australian friends from London are returning home and some of them are moving here from different parts of Australia so in a way I get to experience Melbourne from the eyes of a newcomer as we explore different areas of the city together.   Just today a couple friends drove out to the country to have lunch at the local pub with me and it was glorious!  I can't wait until Spring arrives and the beer gardens open up with live music, we've already made plans to enjoy a Sunday afternoon at the pub!
