I'm travelling this weekend with my parents and have found a little spare time as they adjust to European time and jet lag.  Here a few little things that are making me flutter!

The parentals are coming!

This weekend I'm visiting my parents in Switzerland, they fly in on Friday morning from Australia and I get to spend a lovely 3 days with them before I have to head back to London for work.  I love this photo of them, it makes them look on top of the world!  Except I must have words with Mum, white pants, white socks and black flats are never a good look.

Pompeii was destroyed in 79AD and not found again until the 1700's
The eruption of Mount Vesuvius began in the morning and was over by the afternoon.

On my shopping list

The weather has started to turn in London but I'm still clinging to the last of my summer dresses and this cropped draped blazer would be perfect over a couple of them.  I tried it on in store but they didn't have my size and now online is sold out- I'm shattered!

Bella Italia- Positano

It's a 1.5 lane winding road and this photo was taken from a bus.
Thank goodness I was asleep!

All photos taken by me.

Vogue October's Past and Present

I read magazines like they're going out of fashion (pardon the pun) and Vogue is one of my favourites, along with Elle, Architectural Digest and basically any travel magazine .  When the September Issue came out a couple years ago I was virtually at the cinema for the first showing that day to see Anna Wintour at her best.  Im fascinated by magazine covers and their impact on women, here are a selection of Vogue October covers from 2011 all the way back to 1969.  There are many familiar faces but I think my favourite is Gwyneth or the cover from 1969.  What's your favourite?

Sunday Sessions

Last week I went to see the Kooks in concert at the O2 in Brixton, London.  I love them but have never seen them live before and they were incredible.  The whole crowd was up and dancing from the moment they came on stage and they rocked their song Shine On.  The sound quality isn't the best on my iphone, sorry!

Bella Italia- Florence!

Out of the 1000 famous renaissance artists, 350 of them were from Florence.
In 1966 the Uffuzi Gallery Basement was flooded damaging many famous works
Florence was ruled by the Medici family
Leonardo, Brunelleschi, Michelangelo and Donatello lived in Florence
Florence was the first city with paved streets in 1339

It's a replica but still pretty awesome- The David

Too many to choose from!

Too much Gelati was consumed!
